

Erkinbek Abekov, a resident of Kabylan-Kol, shared his story about how the insurance company helped him after a fire in his two-story house. “A fire broke out at the end of January. The upper floor was completely destroyed, and the lower floor was seriously damaged. Experts assessed the damage, and I received a payment of 368,000 soms just 15 days later. Now we are already working on restoring the roof. This amount has become significant support for us,” he said.
Abdutalip Sultanov, director of the Chui branch of State Insurance, reported that in 2025, over 33,000 houses were insured in the region, which accounts for 18.7% of the total number. Since the beginning of this year, 5,300 homeowners have signed new contracts. The branch aims to increase this figure to 50-80%.
Azatbek Osmonaliev, head of the insurance payments department of the State Insurance Organization, told the Kabar agency that as of the beginning of 2026, there are 1 million 251 thousand residential houses registered in Kyrgyzstan, of which 357 thousand 480 were insured.
If in 2021-2022 the insurance coverage level was about 10%, by 2026 it has increased to nearly 30%. Last year, 31 million 878 thousand soms were paid to 247 citizens across the country.

For rural residents: 600 soms per year (maximum payout in case of an insurance event — up to 500,000 soms).
For urban residents: 1,200 soms per year (maximum payout — up to 1 million soms).
