The deputy urged the Ministry of Health not to persecute doctors for complaints

Medical professionals appealed to the leadership with a request to send them for training to work with new equipment, but instead faced pressure.

At a recent joint meeting of two parliamentary groups, Deputy Bakhridin Shabazov raised the issue of difficulties related to the use of medical equipment in the Kant city hospital.

He reported that the endoscopic equipment delivered to the institution last year remained unused for over a year, as medical staff lacked the necessary skills to operate it.

Shabazov emphasized that doctors had requested the sending of specialists for training, but according to him, instead of support, they faced pressure from the administration.

“The situation is paradoxical: doctors raise important issues, and the ministry effectively punishes them for it. I urge to stop such practices. Our goal is the same — if medical professionals point out a problem, it needs to be addressed,” noted the deputy.

In response, Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev, who recently took office, promised to look into the situation.

“We will not allow the persecution of doctors by the ministry. I will find out who could have reacted this way to the doctors' appeals. I am ready to meet personally with each of them,” added the deputy minister.
