New Maternity Hospital and Dormitory for Doctors: Minister of Health Visited the Central Perinatal Center in Kemine
According to the press service of the ministry, the minister inspected the construction of a new maternity hospital designed for 50 beds. This four-story building, with a total area of 2,220 square meters, has already reached the third floor, where monolithic work is currently ongoing.
On the first floor of the new maternity hospital, it is planned to place the reception and gynecology departments, ultrasound diagnostics and colposcopy rooms, as well as a discharge block. The operating block and two delivery rooms will occupy the second floor, while the third floor will house the newborn pathology department and the gynecology department with separate sanitary facilities. The issue of purchasing modern medical equipment is also under consideration.
Damir Osmonov also reviewed the project for a dormitory for medical workers, which is being created on the basis of the former infectious disease department. This residential building will include eight apartments equipped with all necessary amenities. The construction work is being financed from the budget of the Kemin district development fund and will cost approximately 18 million soms. The total area of the dormitory will be 1,450 square meters, which will be a step towards improving the living conditions of medical staff and addressing the problem of staff shortages.
During the visit, the management of the Center for General Medical Practice also raised issues regarding the shortage of medical personnel. Currently, measures are being taken to create more favorable conditions for attracting specialists, including the construction of a dormitory.
In addition, the minister inspected the old maternity hospital building, where the issue of major repairs had previously been discussed, for which about 100 million soms had been allocated. After the inspection, the minister instructed to conduct additional research on the condition of the building and the feasibility of repairs.
