In Osh, residents of Mamatov Street are asking for the road to be paved.
Local residents reached out to the Turmush correspondent regarding this issue.
Aidar Yrysbaev, one of the residents, noted that the road situation is the biggest concern among locals.
“The road issue is our main problem. Although we are within the city limits, living conditions resemble those of a village. In spring and autumn, when children go to school, it becomes extremely difficult to navigate this road. Pedestrians and drivers face challenges. We heard about the order from the previous mayor. Work to fill it with gravel was already planned, but unfortunately, everything stopped after his resignation,” he said.
Erkin Sheraliyev, another local resident, added that the road problem has not been resolved for many years.
“Almost a hundred years have passed since our village was established, and the road issue remains relevant. We have approached the mayor's office, but no one pays proper attention. Yesterday we met with the vice-mayor, who informed us that due to a lack of funds, a solution is currently impossible. We are ready to agree to leveling the road and filling it with gravel this year, and full asphalt paving can be included in the budget for 2027,” he shared.
Sabyr Chotonov also emphasized that the road issue was not resolved last year.
“Last year, no asphalt work was carried out. And this year, as it became known, due to a lack of funding, the road did not make it into the budget. The length of this section is 920 meters. Even if asphalt is not laid, it would be good if the road were filled with gravel to get rid of the mud,” he said.
According to available data, the village of Kyrgyzstan was founded in the 1930s. Currently, there are 120 households and about 2000 residents.
