On Jumabek Street in Bishkek, near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, work was carried out on the sanitary pruning of trees in poor condition. This was reported by representatives of the Ministry's press service.
Previously, local residents expressed their concerns in the media, claiming that these actions resembled tree removal more than pruning. Some citizens suggested that the area was being cleared for the creation of a parking lot.
In response to these claims, the Ministry explained that they had previously contacted the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" due to recorded cases of dry branches falling, which posed a threat to pedestrians.
Specialists from "Bishkekzelenstroy" inspected the greenery following the request. During the inspection, it was found that some poplars were in an emergency state and could pose a danger.
As a result of the work carried out, employees of "Bishkekzelenstroy" performed sanitary pruning of the upper parts of the trees.
