The Prosecutor General's Office identified 172 violations of the conflict of interest law in 2025

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Prosecutor General Zalkarbek Aknazarov reported that in 2025, the prosecutor's office conducted more than 70 inspections related to compliance with conflict of interest laws, resulting in the identification of 172 violations.

This information was presented in the context of discussing a draft law amending the "On Conflict of Interest" law in its second reading.

Aknazarov noted that one official faced administrative responsibility in the form of a fine for non-compliance with legal norms. Additionally, 84 individuals in positions of authority were subjected to disciplinary measures.

Among those held accountable were employees of state institutions and local self-government bodies. The main violations were related to the failure to submit declarations of personal interests and the use of state or municipal property for personal purposes.
