In Osh, the official opening of the honorary consulate of Lithuania took place, where a meeting was held between Amankhan Kenjebaev, the representative of Kyrgyzstan in the Osh region, and the General Consul of Lithuania, Sharune Kubilyte.
According to information from the representative office, the discussion at the meeting focused on mutual prospects and the current state of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Lithuania, as well as issues of interregional cooperation.
Kenjebaev emphasized that the opening of the consulate in Osh is a significant step towards strengthening friendship and partnership between the countries. He congratulated M.A. Orumbaev on his appointment as the honorary consul of Lithuania in this city.
The Lithuanian delegation was informed about the investment potential of the Osh region, with an emphasis on the opportunities in the agricultural sector and the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products.
The parties expressed a mutual interest in deepening cooperation in several areas:
- trade and economic relations and attracting foreign investments;
- processing of agricultural products;
- development of tourism;
- strengthening cultural and educational ties.
