The Deputy Attorney General Zalkarbek Aknazarov reported that 84 public officials were held accountable for disciplinary violations last year. This statement was made at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, where the draft law "On Conflict of Interest" was discussed in its second reading.

He noted that the General Prosecutor's Office conducted over 70 inspections in 2025 regarding compliance with legislation on conflict of interest, during which 172 violations were identified.

“One official was fined for failing to comply with the requirements of regulatory acts (under the Code of Offenses), and 84 individuals faced disciplinary actions. Mainly, those held accountable were employees of state institutions and local self-government, as well as those who did not submit declarations of personal interests or used state and municipal property for their own purposes,” Aknazarov added.
