In Kazakhstan, they are expecting offspring from the first pair of Amur tigers
According to Nysanbaev, the tigers have adapted well to their enclosure. Specialists are hopeful for the soon appearance of offspring from this pair.
“Unfortunately, fertilization did not occur last year. However, at the beginning of this year, we recorded this process again, and we have hope for a successful litter,” the minister noted.
Nysanbaev also reported that in the spring, four more tigers will be delivered to Kazakhstan from Russia.
“They are expected to arrive at the end of April or the beginning of May, and with six tigers, we will begin work on restoring the population of the Turanian tiger,” he concluded.
