The president emphasized that in the future, benefits will be available to all children
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, President Sadyr Japarov stated that during the Soviet Union, benefits for children under 16 were provided regardless of the financial situation of families.
He noted that after gaining independence, the economic situation in the country changed, and now benefits are only received by low-income families.
“If we had enough resources, we would like to provide benefits to all children under 16. However, at present, the budget does not allow us to do this. Therefore, I signed a decree on the payment of benefits for children up to 3 years old, regardless of the family’s income level,” the president stated.
He also added that in the future, the government aims to ensure the payment of benefits for all children under 16.
