In recent years, there has been a trend in Kyrgyzstan towards a decrease in the number of children's art schools.
According to data presented by the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, in 2009, there were 6 such schools operating in the republic, but by 2024, their number had decreased to 3. Over the years, this figure fluctuated: from 2010 to 2018, the number of schools ranged between 4 and 5, and since 2019, there have been consistently 3 institutions operating in the country.

The highest concentration of children's art schools is traditionally observed in Bishkek. If in 2009 there were 11 schools in the capital, since 2014 this number has dropped to just 1.
In the Jalal-Abad region, 2 schools have been operating since 2011, and this level has been maintained until 2024.
In the Batken region, after 2018, there is no information available about the activities of art schools. A similar situation is observed in Osh, where in recent years, no students have been recorded either.

The number of children studying in art schools has also changed unevenly. In 2009, 554 children were enrolled in these institutions, in 2010 — 337, and in 2018, a record was set with 664 students. By 2024, the number of students decreased to 364.

The largest number of children is enrolled in the Jalal-Abad region — in 2024, there were 204 students registered here. In Bishkek, the same year saw 160 children studying. In the Batken region, data has been absent since 2018, and in Osh, no students have been recorded in recent years either.

Thus, the statistics demonstrate an overall reduction in the network of children's art schools in the country, with the majority of students concentrated in the Jalal-Abad region and Bishkek.
