Sadyr Japarov: Next year, student rotation is planned

The president announced that students from southern regions will study in the north, while their northern colleagues will study in the south

During his speech at a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, President Sadyr Japarov announced plans to implement a student rotation system next year.

He noted that at a recent parliamentary meeting, some deputies attempted to split into factions, but this attempt was quickly thwarted. Japarov urged his colleagues to avoid such divisions in the future.

“Division and schism pose a threat to statehood. I have long decided to put an end to this division that has existed for many years. Over the past five years, such conflicts have practically disappeared, and we have even forgotten about them,” the president emphasized.

The head of state also noted that positive results have already been achieved from the rotation of akims, judges, and other civil servants.

According to him, a similar model will be applied in education.

“It is planned to allocate 10,000 budget places: 5,000 for students from the south and 5,000 for those from the north. All of them will study on a rotational basis — students from northern regions will go to study in the south, and southerners will go to the north,” he added.

In addition, the president assured that graduates of the Akylman presidential schools who obtain higher education will not be left without jobs, as this will be enshrined at the legislative level.
