At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 11, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev raised the issue of the confusion in construction in Bishkek. He pointed out that a multi-story building is being erected at 10 Matrosova Street among one- and two-story buildings.

Bekeshev emphasized that the construction is taking place in close proximity to other houses, violating building regulations. "Recently, a concrete pump fell at this construction site. Everything is so cramped that cars are driving into the alleys, damaging the roads. It is necessary to restore what has been destroyed. People are experiencing serious inconveniences. Before issuing permits, the Ministry of Construction should carefully consider whether it is worth doing. We need to check who exactly issued the permit: did they visit the site or was everything done in the office, possibly for money? A permit is issued, but no one controls it. Chaotic construction must be stopped," he said.

In addition, the deputy noted that the master plan had been discussed, but changes were made to it that local residents opposed.

For example, residents of Son-Kulsky Alley and Shukurov Street requested to preserve their area for individual construction, which the authorities agreed to, but now the construction of multi-story buildings is planned there. "People cannot sleep normally at night. And that's not all: the Ata-Tyurk park is not indicated in the project at all," Bekeshev added.
