In Uzbekistan, the activities of 45 organized criminal groups were suppressed in two months
According to the ministry's data, to improve the criminal situation in the country, 6,025 special operations, 806 raids, and 2,876 searches were conducted. As a result of these activities, 116 cases of extortion, 315 crimes related to illegal arms trafficking, 86 instances of organizing underground gambling, 40 crimes concerning human trafficking, as well as 790 cases related to maintaining brothels, prostitution, and the spread of HIV infection were identified.
During the two months, 3,150 criminal cases were initiated. Administrative measures were applied to 2,934 individuals, of whom 980 were arrested.
In 315 cases related to illegal possession of weapons, 4,250 units of cold weapons were seized. Additionally, 5,814 ammunition rounds and 3.7 kilograms of explosives were confiscated.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs blocked 47 accounts that, according to the agency, had a negative impact on the criminal situation and contributed to the spread of criminal ideas among the population, including youth.
