
On March 10, a forum titled "Youth Against Extremism" took place at the "Seytek" Center for Children and Youth in Bishkek, aimed at preventing extremist sentiments among young people and fostering an active civic position among them. This was reported by the city administration.
Attending the event were Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, representatives of law enforcement agencies, government structures, clergy, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, activists, and students from the city's schools.
In her speech, Victoria Mozgacheva emphasized the need for joint efforts from government institutions, educational organizations, and society to combat extremism among youth. She also noted that upbringing, education, and patriotism play a key role in creating a safe and stable social environment.
The forum included speeches from representatives of law enforcement, religious leaders, and deputies, as well as the screening of videos dedicated to countering extremism. Students presented a play and creative performances as part of the event.
The city administration stated that such events contribute to raising legal awareness among youth, fostering tolerance, and strengthening interethnic harmony in society.
