In particular, in the Almaty and Zhambyl regions, restrictions have been imposed on freight and public transport on the highway connecting the border of the Russian Federation with the territories of Kazakhstan and further to the border with China.
The traffic ban is established on sections from the village of Zhanakurylis to the border of Zhambyl region, as well as from the border of Almaty region to the village of Korday, where the checkpoint at the border with Kyrgyzstan is located. The restrictions also affect the section between the villages of Kenen and Kainar.
According to preliminary data, traffic is expected to resume on the morning of March 11.
