According to information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, the weather in the country will undergo sharp changes on March 10 and 11.
On March 10, rain and snow are expected, with snow predominating in the foothills and mountains. Snow is also forecasted for March 11, and some regions may experience heavy precipitation. Wet snow may stick to trees and power lines. The speed of the western wind in some areas may reach 15-20 m/s, and in the Issyk-Kul region — 19-24 m/s.
At night on March 11 and 12, the air temperature will drop significantly:
- Chui Valley: at night −8…−13°, during the day −1…−6°;
- Talas Valley: at night −8…−13°, during the day −2…−7°;
- Valleys of Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions: at night −4…−9°, during the day from −1° to +4°;
- Issyk-Kul basin: at night −7…−12°, during the day from −3° to +2°;
- Agricultural areas of Naryn region: at night −11…−16°, during the day −2…−7°;
- Foothills of the republic: at night −10…−15°, during the day −2…−7°;
- Mountain areas: at night −11…−16°, during the day −8…−13°;
- Suusamyr Valley: at night −17…−22°, during the day −8…−13°;
- High-altitude areas: at night −23…−28°, during the day up to −6…−11°.
