According to a report from a Turmush correspondent, there is a significant increase in egg prices in Kara-Balta.

According to the information received, in wholesale price trading centers, where a dozen of the cheapest eggs used to cost around 108 soms, the price has now reached approximately 114 soms. At the same time, eggs are often out of stock.

Sellers note that the price increase has also affected other types of eggs, with an overall price increase of 20–30 soms per dozen.

In one of the trading centers, it was reported that suppliers link the price increase to the rising cost of feed for chickens. Currently, the store cannot say whether the price will continue to rise.

It is worth noting that in typical spring months, egg prices usually decrease, but this year the situation is different.

Local residents also report that inexpensive eggs are sold out very quickly, resulting in only more expensive options remaining on the shelves.
