According to him, the citizens are dissatisfied that the stadium is not accessible for free visits
At a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Sovetbek Rustambek uulu raised the pressing issue of access for the residents of the capital to the running track at the Dolon Omurzakov stadium.
He noted that people express dissatisfaction due to the stadium's closure for free visits.
“The citizens are outraged. The running track should be accessible to everyone. This is not a stadium that is only opened for rare football matches,” he added.
In response, the Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Urmat Asanbaev, reported that renovation works are currently underway at the stadium.
He clarified that contractors are working on the installation of the track surface in stages.
“The work on laying the third layer has been temporarily suspended due to low temperatures. As soon as the weather improves, we will continue the installation,” Asanbaev explained.
The deputy also emphasized that there are no other stadiums in this area, and the population is quite large. According to him, many residents prefer to engage in sports early in the morning and in the evening.
“From six to nine in the morning and from six to nine in the evening, people come to strengthen their health. Previously, there were workout areas here that were removed, and they need to be returned. The staff should show politeness to visitors. Citizens report that employees do not let them in and behave rudely,” the deputy concluded.
