Kyrgyz citizens who remained on the cruise liner in Qatar are waiting for their flight to Bishkek. As the citizens reported at Riyadh airport, they spent a whole week on the vessel due to the unstable situation in the Middle East.
The Kyrgyz citizens expressed their gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov for his assistance in their return home.
“On behalf of 136 citizens, we want to thank you for your support. Our situation received special attention, and we were kept in touch. Four buses were sent for us and brought us to Riyadh at night, where we were accommodated in a hotel. Now we are at the airport,” they said.
The president's press secretary, Askhat Alagozov, previously reported that the Kyrgyz citizens on the cruise liner were expected to return to Bishkek today.
He also added that President Japarov, considering the current situation in the Middle Eastern countries, instructed to organize the return of citizens remaining in the region and is overseeing the process.
