In the foothills of the Chui region, blue-footed mushrooms have appeared
According to a local resident, a significant number of these mushrooms have already been spotted in the foothills of the Chui region. "Blue-footed mushrooms can withstand frosts down to minus five degrees Celsius and are adapted to sharp changes in weather. They prefer to grow in meadows and pastures, as well as in forest strips where there are many poplars and oaks. Usually, these mushrooms form large colonies and can grow in such a way that they create long paths or even circles," he shares.
Irina Stezhko, a biologist, noted that the "blue-footed mushroom," or lilac-legged row mushroom, is a popular and tasty mushroom in Kyrgyzstan, characterized by its bright purple or blue stem. "This mushroom definitely requires thermal processing — it needs to be boiled before frying or pickling. The blue-footed mushroom has a mild taste reminiscent of champignons and a fruity aroma. It helps improve metabolism, supports the immune system, and aids in the elimination of toxins, as well as being beneficial for the heart and blood vessels," added Irina Stezhko.
