The city hall reported that "Bishkekzelenhoz" is engaged in the cutting down of trees that are in poor condition.
In a statement from the municipality, it is mentioned that sanitary tree cutting is being carried out on Mahatma Gandhi Street by the employees of the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy." According to the city hall, trees that are emergency or dead are being removed.
Experts noted that many of these trees were affected by the bark beetle, which led to their weakening and decay.
The city hall added that such trees can pose a danger to citizens and road users, so their removal is necessary to prevent branches or trunks from falling onto the roadway and sidewalks.
