In childhood, this holiday was associated with simple joys — postcards and handmade tulips for mothers. Over time, one comes to realize the importance of women in the life of every person and in society as a whole.
“For me, March 8 is primarily a family holiday. A woman is the backbone of the family, a source of comfort and inner strength that, although invisible, supports both the home and society,” he noted.
“Women make our lives more humane, thanks to their emotions, kindness, and wisdom. On this day, I try to be with my family, congratulate my wife and daughters, starting the morning with flowers — this has become a small tradition. Sometimes we prepare dinner at home, and sometimes we just gather together, reminisce, and laugh. The main thing is the time spent with loved ones,” Mamataliyev added.
He also congratulated all the women of Kyrgyzstan on International Women's Day, wishing them happiness, well-being, and joy. “May your homes be filled with warmth, and may your loved ones be by your side! Smile more often, for your smiles bring hope and positivity to the world,” he concluded.

Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Prime Minister, spoke about the tradition of celebrating this day with family, especially with his mother. “I will give my wife a beautiful spring bouquet,” he said.

Almambet Shykmamatov, Head of the State Tax Service, also emphasized the importance of women in life. In his opinion, over time, it becomes clearer how important women's wisdom and ability to maintain harmony are both in the family and in society.
