A Chinese company will undertake the modernization of the irrigation system in Bazar-Korgon.
As part of the project, it is planned to update the irrigation infrastructure that provides water supply for irrigation to eight settlements in the Bazar-Korgon district.
In particular, 15 kilometers of the left-bank main canal will be completely reconstructed, which is part of a total length of 15.78 kilometers, and 13.5 kilometers of a new upper management canal will be constructed.
According to information from the agency, a tender was held for the project, resulting in a contract worth 853 million 476 thousand soms. The construction work has been entrusted to the company China Road.
Upon completion of the project, it is expected that the water supply for 8,225 hectares of irrigated land in Bazar-Korgon and the surrounding districts of Saydykum and Akman will be significantly improved.
The completion of all modernization work is scheduled for the end of December 2028.
