A number of public organizations appealed to the Attorney General regarding the death of 21-year-old Aizhanil in Nookat

They demand a fair and independent investigation into the girl's death

A group of representatives from public organizations in the Osh region has sent an official appeal to the Attorney General, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the head of the Osh regional police, and the Ombudsman regarding the tragic death of 21-year-old Aizhanil from the Nookat district.
In this appeal, they insist on the need for a comprehensive, open, and honest investigation into the circumstances of her death, as well as calling for measures aimed at eradicating systemic violence against women.
According to their information, after Aizhanil's body was discovered, her husband's relatives began to spread the version that she allegedly committed suicide by hanging.
It is worth noting that the husband of the deceased, who is a suspect in her murder, has not yet been detained, and no preventive measures in the form of arrest have been applied against him.
“The facts known to us raise serious doubts about the credibility of this version. A day before her death, Aizhanil sought help: she called her mother, sent SMS messages, and directly stated that her husband was beating her, asking to be rescued from this family hell. These are not the words of a person who would take such a step. This is a cry for help from a victim,” the appeal states.
We remind you that the Osh regional police previously reported that on February 20, a 21-year-old citizen A.A. was found hanged in the rural aymaq of Kok-Bek in the Nookat district.
