The digitization in the country allows for significant paper savings.
Last week, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, announced the salaries of the deputies.
During the parliamentary session, he stated that the monthly salary of a deputy is 58,432 soms.
In addition, each deputy is allocated a fund of 80,000 soms, which is used for various needs, including maintenance of official transport, payment for a driver’s services, office expenses, as well as airfare and trips to the regions.
Since the deputies are already aware of their income, expert opinions suggest that the speaker's statement was more directed at the public, which continues to express dissatisfaction with the high costs of maintaining deputies and the staff of the Jogorku Kenesh. Many citizens of Kyrgyzstan believe that office expenses could be reduced, especially in the context of active digitization of the government apparatus.
