A presentation of modern French equipment, purchased as part of a large-scale modernization of the industry, took place in Bishkek.

Kyrgyzstan has become the first country among the CIS to implement 3D scanning and 3D printing at the state level in the production process of prosthetic and orthopedic products. The presentation of the new equipment, manufactured in France, took place today at an institution under the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The complex, which costs nearly 46 thousand euros, was purchased using funds from the republican budget. Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov noted that this is part of a program to modernize the material and technical base, for which 100 million soms have been allocated. Previously, the equipment in the department had not been updated for over 40 years.

The implementation of this technology will ensure high precision of products for 13 thousand citizens with disabilities who are registered. Digital solutions will help reduce production time and the number of fittings, making the rehabilitation process more comfortable and individualized.
