It became known that the arsenal was found during operational activities aimed at combating organized crime.
In the cache, the following items were seized:
- 12 Kalashnikov rifles (AKM 7.62 mm);
- two service pistols — Beretta and PM;
- two smoothbore shotguns with short barrels;
- 11 magazines for Kalashnikov rifles;
- 700 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition in a hermetically sealed metal box;
- 58 rounds of 9×19 mm ammunition;
- 66 rounds of 9×18 mm ammunition;
- eight cleaning kits for firearms.
According to preliminary investigation data, this arsenal could have been used to prepare for serious crimes, including attempts to destabilize the socio-political situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The SCNS emphasized that this weapon could have been used in the event of a deterioration of the internal political and social situation in the country.
Destructive forces could have attempted to provoke mass riots and armed disorder with the aim of an unconstitutional change of power, the SCNS noted.
According to the agency's information, the organizers of the actions were counting on support from transnational criminal groups associated with the so-called thieves' ideology and the influence of the "brotherhood circle," as well as possible assistance from international extremist and terrorist organizations.
The SCNS stated that the successful discovery of the arsenal helped neutralize the power base of the criminal group, which in turn prevented possible armed provocations and mass unrest.
The seized ammunition and weapons will be sent for ballistic and forensic examination. Operational and investigative activities are ongoing, and the special services are searching for the organizers, as well as the ideological and financial sponsors involved in preparing unconstitutional actions and destabilizing the situation in the country.
