Only 4 Workers at the Site: Presidential Envoy Criticizes the Pace of Construction of the Aitmatov Memorial in Talas
On March 4, the leadership of the presidential representative office conducted an inspection of the ongoing work and the condition of the house-museum of the famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.
During the inspection, it became known that only four craftsmen are working at the construction site. This raised concerns from the leadership, as such a pace of construction is considered unacceptable for this strategically important project. The president's representative in the region, Ermat Dzhumaev, noted that there are only 5 months left until the planned work is completed and instructed to accelerate the process while strictly adhering to all quality standards.
Particular attention was paid to the writer's house-museum, where, according to the inspection results, finishing works have effectively come to a halt. Instructions were given to the first deputy head of the Aitmatov district administration and the head of the rural council regarding the urgent resumption of both internal and external works to ensure the museum's full readiness for operation.
The goal of the reconstruction and construction of the cultural and memorial complex in the writer's native village of Sheker is to immortalize the name of Chyngyz Aitmatov and preserve his legacy for future generations.
The memorial project includes a modern house-museum, an innovative cinema, a library, and a hotel block.
