Price of one tulip - 100 soms
The price is fixed: 100 soms for each flower, regardless of its color – whether it is red, yellow, or white.“We brought the bulbs from Holland and grew them in a greenhouse. These tulips can last up to 15 days. If you buy them today, they will definitely last until March 8. Flowers purchased yesterday will also please you. The main thing is to change the water and keep them in a cool place,” the sellers explain.
The sellers offer purchases both individually and in bulk, where the price will be lower.
“You can buy just one unit, but when purchasing a large quantity, the price decreases. For example, for 5 thousand pieces, we will sell them for 70 soms each. We don’t know how we will cope with the influx of buyers on March 7 and 8, as since the opening, more than a thousand people come to us every day, even in bad weather,” the organizers share.
The import of flowers is mainly carried out by air transport. In February, the main suppliers were Kenya, China, Ecuador, the Netherlands, and Colombia. The largest number of imported flowers were roses – 3.56 million pieces, which constitutes the main part of the total import; carnations, orchids, chrysanthemums, and lilies are also arriving.
According to statistics, in 2025, flower imports increased by 61% compared to 2024, rising from 34.2 million to 55.3 million pieces.
The main suppliers of flowers to Kyrgyzstan in 2025 are Ecuador, Kenya, and China. The famous flower country, the Netherlands, ranks fourth, having sent over 3 million flowers to Kyrgyzstan.
