
In honor of International Women's Day, the geoservice 2GIS conducted a study regarding flower purchases and deliveries in Bishkek. The results showed that interest in online flower purchases has more than doubled over the past two years, and the number of flower companies in Kyrgyzstan has increased by 84%.
The study revealed that the number of queries in the categories "Flowers" and "Flower Delivery" in Bishkek has increased by 126%. In March 2023, the number of queries was around 46,000, and by 2025, this figure grew to over 104,000.
March 8 remains the most active day for users: on this day, the service is used by over 172,000 people, which is 43% more than the usual number of users. Peak queries are expected to occur on the morning of March 8 and the evening of March 7.
The growing interest in flowers has also contributed to the development of the flower business. According to 2GIS, the number of flower shops in Kyrgyzstan increased from 450 in March 2023 to 831 in March 2025.
As of March 4, 2026, there are 665 registered flower salons and 425 delivery services in the country. It is worth noting that these figures account for the total number of sales points, as retail and delivery are often conducted within the same establishment.
Currently, there are over 400 flower salons operating in Bishkek, allowing residents to easily find gifts within walking distance. The variety of companies offers buyers a wide selection.
Interest in flowers is also growing in the south of the country. In Osh, the number of flower queries reached 3,000 in 2025, which is a significant increase compared to previous years when there were only a few such queries.
