






The press service of the State Penitentiary Service reported that as part of the celebrations, educational and cultural programs were organized for both prisoners and minor wards. Participants of the event presented reports on the significance of the Kyrgyz headdress, recited poems, and performed traditional songs. The celebration was filled with the sounds of komuz and concert performances celebrating the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.
Sports competitions also became an important part of the celebration, including both national and classic sports. The program featured tournaments in table tennis, kettlebell lifting, tayak-tartish, arkan-tartish, ordo, as well as chess and toguz korgool games.
The agency emphasized that such events contribute to the formation of respect for national culture and traditions, the preservation of ancestral heritage, as well as spiritual development and successful resocialization of prisoners.
