This is already the second confrontation between deputies in a week
At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, a verbal clash erupted between Mederbek Aliyev and Ulukbek Karybek uulu.
After Aliyev expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their support regarding his appointment as vice-speaker, he emphasized that patience and significant experience in public service are necessary for this role, not "running around maternity hospitals." These words were perceived by many as a hint at Karybek uulu.
In response, Karybek uulu remarked that some people consider themselves "the smartest and most educated," while others are deemed "fools."
“Some believe they are the smartest and most educated, while everyone else is a fool,” noted the deputy.
He also added that society is well aware of who has contributed to the country's development and mentioned that during visits to maternity hospitals, he was engaged in fighting corruption.
After this exchange, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh reminded the deputies of the importance of adhering to parliamentary ethics.
Recently, at one of the committees, there was also a heated exchange between deputies regarding a bill proposed by Aliyev.
