On the day of the accident, the children of relatives came to visit and were playing with Umar's brothers. While Khonzada was preparing lunch, the children, trying to lift the baby, accidentally dropped him.
“We realized something was wrong by his crying. He had never cried so hard before. We immediately called an ambulance, but his condition worsened. At the hospital, we were informed about the brain hemorrhage. He spent 15 days in a coma, and during that time, the most terrible thoughts overwhelmed me about him not surviving,” the mother recalls.
After that, Umar developed osteomyelitis, and he required urgent surgery.
“My son has been fighting for his health for almost his entire life. Currently, he needs another surgery due to constant epileptic seizures. Turkish doctors say that the seizures are related to the hematoma formed after the fall. If the hematoma is removed, it may help with his development,” Khonzada explains.
“The doctors assure that the surgery will help him start speaking and walking. That is exactly what I wish for my son,” the mother says, unable to hold back her tears.Currently, Umar is undergoing examinations in Turkey. The surgery costs $25,000, of which $15,000 has already been raised. If the family cannot gather the necessary amount, the surgery may be postponed.
