The customer service and user experience department of one of the international marketplaces published the results of a survey conducted to find out how residents of Kyrgyzstan plan to celebrate March 8. According to the data, 63% of participants plan to give gifts, and 49% are willing to allocate up to 6,000 soms for this purpose.
The study revealed that 72% of respondents believe that this holiday is celebrated in their circle. 71% plan to celebrate March 8 in 2026, and only 10% stated that this day is not celebrated in their environment.
“March 8 in Kyrgyzstan is an important and warm event. We observe that buyers are planning in advance what to give their loved ones, and they are increasingly choosing online shopping as a convenient option,” shared the opinion of the company's director in Kyrgyzstan, Alexander Vorobyov.
Among the main associations related to this holiday, residents of Kyrgyzstan highlight femininity, care, and respect for women (46%), flowers and gifts (44%), spring and renewal (37%), as well as joy and positive emotions (29%).
Among men, 63% plan to give gifts, most often to mothers (84%), wives and partners (59%), as well as sisters (43%). Among women, 69% also intend to please their loved ones, primarily mothers (83%), sisters (50%), and daughters (44%). Regarding budget questions, 49% of respondents are ready to spend from 2,000 to 6,000 soms, 21% expect to stay within 2,000 soms, and 30% plan to spend more than 6,000 soms.
