This day remains one of the most significant holidays, having a noticeable impact on consumer habits.
According to the study, 72% of respondents noted that the holiday is actively celebrated in their circles, 71% plan to celebrate it in 2026, while only 10% stated that March 8 is not part of their traditions.
“March 8 in Kyrgyzstan is a warm and meaningful event. We see that people prepare for this day in advance and increasingly choose online shopping as a convenient way to make purchases,” said Alexander Vorobyov, director of Wildberries in Kyrgyzstan.
The associations that arise among the residents of the country with this holiday include femininity, care and respect for women (46%), flowers and gifts (44%), spring and renewal (37%), as well as joy and positive emotions (29%).
Among men, 63% plan to give gifts, most often to their mothers (84%), spouses and partners (59%), and sisters (43%). At the same time, 69% of women also plan to give gifts, primarily to their mothers (83%), sisters (50%), and daughters (44%). In terms of budget, 49% of buyers are ready to allocate between 2,000 and 6,000 soms (the average budget is 5,000 soms), 21% want to stay within 2,000 soms, while 30% expect to spend more than 6,000 soms.
