At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Mederbek Sakkarayev voiced the request of the residents of Tokmok for the installation of two traffic lights along the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway. One of the traffic lights is proposed to be placed at the exit from the former livestock market, and the second — at the western exit from the city, near the treatment facilities.
The deputy noted that many traffic accidents occur at these intersections every year. The situation is complicated by the presence of several lanes in each direction on the bypass road, which makes the exit of vehicles from the city more dangerous," he added.
