Kyrgyzstan and Japan Discussed Support for Small and Medium Enterprises
A meeting was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, attended by Deputy Minister of Economy Benazir Nurlanova and representatives of Japanese financial institutions, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). According to the Ministry of Economy, the main topics of discussion were state policy in support of small and medium-sized businesses, the development of financial mechanisms for entrepreneurs, and the role of the Kyrgyz Guarantee Fund in improving access to credit.
The Kyrgyz delegation spoke about current efforts to create a Support and Development Program for Small and Medium Enterprises until 2030, which aims to improve the conditions for doing business and expand access to financial resources.
The Japanese side, in turn, shared its experience in credit guarantees, emphasizing their importance in ensuring access for small and medium-sized enterprises to bank financing, especially for start-up entrepreneurs and companies that cannot provide sufficient collateral.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further cooperation and experience exchange in the field of support for small and medium-sized businesses.
