As part of the "Safe City" project and for monitoring traffic in Kyrgyzstan, more than 5,000 surveillance cameras have been installed. This was reported by Oktay Urmambetov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
He noted that in 2025, as a result of road traffic accidents, 900 people died, and more than 12,000 sustained various injuries.
The Deputy Minister also added that due to technical malfunctions of vehicles, there were 5 fatalities and 29,900 people were injured. A total of 657 protocols were drawn up.
