In 2025, fines totaling 18 million soms were imposed in Kyrgyzstan for violations in the field of environmental protection. Azat Sagynov, Deputy Director of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, reported this on the air of "Birinchi Radio".

He noted that more than 300 raids were conducted to protect plant and animal life, both during the hunting season and at other times.
For violations in the field of plant life, over 260 fines were issued totaling more than 6 million soms, of which nearly 90% have already been collected.
As for animal life, more than 1,000 protocols were drawn up for an amount close to 12 million soms, of which also nearly 90% have been successfully collected.

“In 2025, we intensified measures to eliminate synthetic nets in the lakes of Son-Kul, Issyk-Kul, and in reservoirs. Even in riverbeds, attempts to install such nets continue,” added Azat Sagynov.

He also reminded that on May 28, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 270, which introduced a temporary moratorium on the use of certain types of plants, effective until January 1, 2027.
