In Kyrgyzstan, they plan to implement "green" housing standards in collaboration with the ADB
On March 3, a meeting took place at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Construction, attended by Deputy Minister Bakai Turdugulov and Giacomo Gianetto, a representative of the Asian Development Bank.
The parties discussed important organizational and technical aspects related to the implementation of a project aimed at sustainable housing construction.
In this context, attention was focused on forming a group responsible for project implementation (PIU), including defining the institutional structure, role distribution, and coordination mechanisms.
Issues regarding the introduction of "green" housing standards were also discussed, emphasizing energy efficiency, the ecology of construction materials, and the system for monitoring compliance with these standards.
Additionally, the parties reviewed the parameters of a program aimed at improving energy efficiency, which includes measures for implementing modern energy-saving technologies in housing construction.
As a result of the negotiations, readiness for further cooperation was confirmed, and the parties agreed to continue working on creating a sustainable model of "green" housing construction in the country.
