The unique territory requires attention and care
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Ismanali Zhorov raised an important issue regarding the condition of the Karagachev grove, located in the center of the capital.
He noted that this area includes the Komsomol and Pioneer lakes.
However, as the deputy emphasized, this special zone is currently being ignored. During the summer period, only one of the lakes is operational, while the other and a significant part of the forested areas are in a neglected state. Many trees are drying up, the irrigation system is not functioning, and sanitation is insufficient, leading to the formation of dumps in certain areas.
“We actively discuss issues of environmental safety and green economy in our capital, but we cannot preserve such historically significant green spaces,” he noted.
In this regard, Zhorov proposed to develop a separate municipal program for the Karagachev grove, including inventory, restoration of dried trees, and planting new saplings.
He also suggested completely updating the irrigation and watering system, cleaning the lakes, and returning them to operation.
Gradually transform this area into an eco-park, create pedestrian and bicycle paths, ensure safe lighting, and install video surveillance.
Additionally, the deputy believes it is possible to organize small boat stations, pedestrian bridges, and create a recreation area in the style of a “little Venice.”
