Raccoon Vasily is Losing Weight: The Karakol Zoo is Fighting Pet Obesity
According to the zoo workers, the raccoon doesn't particularly enjoy moving around yet, but they are not giving up on trying to make him move more to prevent potential health issues. Jokingly, they note that if this continues, Vasily might find himself in an awkward situation, stuck in some passage like Winnie the Pooh.
Recently, Vasily joined the ranks of the inhabitants of the Karakol Zoo when he was handed over by caring individuals who bought him from a circus. The aim of this step was to provide the animal with a calmer living environment.
At the moment, the raccoon is adapting to his new surroundings, and the zoo staff hope that proper nutrition and physical activity will help him regain his previous shape.
