He provided an example that a trip to the airport can take up to 3-4 hours. Currently, an 85-meter long and 24-meter wide bridge is being constructed in the city, funded by the local budget; however, the work has been temporarily suspended due to a lack of funds. The deputy expressed concern that if the project remains unfinished, the situation with traffic jams may worsen.
Omurzakov also noted that many other projects in Osh have been put on hold, adding: "In general, more attention needs to be paid to this city."
Altynbek Kudayberdiev, for his part, reported that a new master plan is expected to be approved this year; however, according to a cabinet resolution, any changes in urban planning are impossible until its adoption.
He added that citizens are facing difficulties in obtaining permits, which does not even allow them to fence their homes.
