How did the city hall and the Ministry of Construction allow this construction?
In the territory of the village of Orto-Sai, located near Bishkek, the construction of a premium-class residential complex consisting of nine blocks has begun, in close proximity to a cemetery. Deputy of the Bishkek City Council Zhanibek Asanbekov expressed concern about possible violations and threats to the health of future residents.
“How could the city hall, the Ministry of Construction, and other regulatory bodies grant permission for this?” – asks Asanbekov.
This project is not the only one raising concerns regarding safety for both future residents and the surrounding community. Capital residents have repeatedly expressed their worries about construction work at the site of a quarry in microdistrict 12, where, according to preliminary information, luxury housing is also planned to be built.
