Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, held a meeting dedicated to the development of the country's Armed Forces. During the meeting, the Minister of Defense presented a report on the state of combat training and the equipping of troops. The head of state emphasized the need to implement modern technologies, including the use of unmanned systems, according to information from the press service.

In light of the escalating tensions in the Middle East, the following instructions were given:

“In the context of an unstable international situation, where conflicts in certain regions lead to serious humanitarian and economic consequences, it is essential to pay special attention to strengthening the country's defense capabilities and security,” the official statement said.

The Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan informed about the measures being taken to enhance the combat readiness of the troops, the operational training of units, as well as plans to equip them with modern weapons and equipment, including the development of infrastructure in military-administrative sectors.

Moreover, it is worth noting that all law enforcement agencies in Kazakhstan have also switched to a round-the-clock operational mode in response to the escalation of the situation around Iran.

The conflict between Israel and the United States against Iran began on February 28, when numerous air and missile strikes were carried out on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israeli positions and American bases in several countries in the Middle East. As a result of the initial strikes, high-ranking Iranian officials and military personnel were killed. American President Donald Trump announced the start of a military campaign called "Epic Fury" in his address during the first hours of the operation.

As a result of the attacks, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, along with about ten high-ranking officials from Tehran. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, became the new Supreme Leader of Iran.

Tensions in the region remain high.
