As of March 1, Gabriela Popescu has begun her duties as the head of Microsoft in Romania, Moldova, and Central Asian countries, according to information provided by the company's press service.

Popescu has significant experience at the intersection of law, business, and technology.

The press release notes that she is well-versed in commercial and regulatory aspects, compliance with legislation, and establishing trusting relationships with key partners in Central and Eastern Europe. She has been with Microsoft Romania since 2017, and in recent years has served as acting general director, while also overseeing corporate, external, and legal matters in Central Europe, supporting the company's strategic initiatives in the region.

For her part, Gabriela emphasized that Microsoft brings together talented professionals and ambitious digital goals.

“In my new role, I plan to actively collaborate with clients, partners, and government entities, aiming to effectively implement cloud technologies and artificial intelligence-based solutions, creating real value, enhancing resilience, and supporting long-term economic growth,” she added.
