In an interview with Turmush, Nurzhanat shared that she has been unable to leave Dubai for 4 days. "We, Kyrgyz people, who find ourselves in this situation, have created a group on social media, which now has over 500 members. Local residents express concern that military actions in the region may continue. Some compatriots are in a hurry to return home, but my daughter and I went on a tour vacation that ended 4 days ago, and now we cannot leave. The travel agency that organized our trip shows complete indifference to our situation," she said.
According to Nurzhanat, the hotel allowed her and her daughter to stay for 3 days, but that time has already expired. "On March 3, we were informed that some Kyrgyz citizens would be evacuated by our government. We were offered tickets for March 6. It would be reasonable if mothers with children were sent first," she added.
- The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, previously stated that work on the evacuation of citizens remaining in Middle Eastern countries is ongoing without interruption.
According to the director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Seitak Jumakadyrov, he mentioned at a press conference that as of March 2, there were about 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the Gulf countries.
Of these, a significant number (approximately 10,000) are in the UAE, and 6,000 are in Saudi Arabia. "Given the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, the ministry is making efforts to protect the rights of Kyrgyz citizens in this region, including Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. This also includes Israel and Iran," he noted.
According to the latest data, there are no casualties or homeless among Kyrgyz citizens. All citizens are receiving the necessary assistance from consular services, with many requests coming from Dubai, where many tourists are located.
