Starting from March 2, 2026, citizens of Kyrgyzstan will have the opportunity to leave Iran using a new route through Turkmenistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports that this information has been received from the Turkmen side.
The following border crossing points are provided: "Badzhgiran" — available only for holders of diplomatic passports, while "Artyk" and "Sarahs" are for all holders of civilian passports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends that citizens with questions contact the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkmenistan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country in advance.
