Deputy Meder Chotonov, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Issues, emphasized the significance of Hero Mothers for the country.
He pointed out that given the rising prices of food and the increasing cost of contract education in universities, it is necessary to support these women.
“It is important to elevate the status of Hero Mothers and provide them with assistance. Currently, over 31,000 Hero Mothers receive only an additional 1,000 soms to their pension, while citizens under the age of 75 are not entitled to a pension, receiving only 3,000 soms. We propose to introduce educational benefits for the children of these mothers to strengthen the institution of the family,” he added.
